Why F&I

An Intentional Return to the Work I Am Most Passionate About

After more than 15 years in automotive retail—including multiple General Manager assignments and more than five years as a producing Finance Manager—I have made a deliberate decision to return to the part of the business I most enjoy.

I am at my best when I am working directly with customers, helping the desk structure sound transactions, securing the right approvals, presenting protection products with value and transparency, producing clean contracts, and getting deals funded quickly. This is not a temporary position while I wait for another General Manager opening. I am looking for the dealership I can call home for the next—and ideally final—chapter of my career.

The General Manager Advantage

What a General Manager’s Perspective Brings to the Finance

I understand F&I from both sides of the desk. I know what the position must contribute to the customer, the sales floor, the desk, the accounting office, the lending relationships, and the overall profitability of the dealership.

Engage Early and Often

Get out of the office, take turns, assist with closes, uncover concerns early, and keep the transaction moving.

Structure Better Deals

Help the desk evaluate payment, term, advance, equity, cash position, lender fit, lease opportunities, and product potential.

Give Every Deal a Swing

Evaluate cash, outside-finance, lease, prime, nonprime, and credit-challenged transactions with an informed and opportunistic approach.

Protect the Entire Dealership

Balance PVR and product penetration with compliance, customer satisfaction, funding speed, clean schedules, chargeback control, and lender relationships.

Looking for a Finance Leader Who Understands the Entire Dealership?

I am seeking a long-term Finance Manager or Finance Director opportunity with a dealership that values production, accountability, clean processes, customer experience, and teamwork.

How I Work

How I Run the Finance Process

1

Engage

Meet the customer early when appropriate, support the salesperson, assist with closes, and identify potential concerns before the transaction reaches finance.

2

Structure

Review the approval, lender options, advance, term, payment, customer objectives, cash position, equity, and available programs.

3

Present

Deliver a clear, conversational, compliant menu presentation focused on value—not pressure.

4

Contract

Produce accurate documents, collect complete stipulations, verify disclosures and signatures, and prevent avoidable funding delays.

5

Fund

Track every contract through funding, respond immediately to exceptions, communicate with accounting, and maintain disciplined CIT control.

“A strong finance department should produce gross, create value for the customer, support the sales team, protect the dealership, and fund cleanly.”
